Read the session’s wonder fact, then read the KJV passage out loud, straight from the page. Don’t explain it yet — just let God’s words land.
Tip: take turns reading verse by verse if your child is able.
Ask the three Remember Back questions. Let your child answer out loud before peeking at the answers — then check together. Celebrate every right answer like it’s a touchdown.
Tip: wrong answers are gold. “Good thinking — here’s what the verse actually says…”
Do the lab together using the listed household materials. Follow the numbered steps, then read the “What to observe” box out loud. Messy is fine — wondering is the whole point.
Tip: gather materials the night before and you’ll start on time, every time.
Ask: “Can you explain that to me like I’m five?” Listen all the way through without correcting. If they get stuck, ask the session’s Tell It Back question to nudge them.
Tip: this is the most powerful step. Explaining cements learning.
Open the field journal to the right page. Write the date, do the drawing or writing prompt, and color in a star rating. Stamp the session box — done!
Tip: younger kids can dictate while you write. The drawing IS the learning.
